Caroline Renoux, Birdeo founder and Associate Director

A strong and long-standing belief

Caroline’s strong interest for sustainable development is not recent.  She developed awareness about environment protection when she was 16 during a year abroad in Germany. She then studied at ESSCA (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Commerciale d’Angers) where she quickly became head of the AIESEC local chapter, an international student organisation aiming toward having a positive impact on the society through the business world. As a highly committed member to the organisation she was later elected Vice president on the national level and she worked there full-time for a year before finishing her degree.

For the past ten years, Caroline has been travelling throughout Europe to scout rare talents.

15 years ago the Internet boom and growing IT sector changed the way companies were managed. IT experts shortages and the need for diversified skills have allowed IT services companies to emerge. Caroline developed keen knowledge in recruiting and managing IT experts for well-known international blue chip companies.  Today she is convinced that the social and environmental issues that companies are facing will lead to bigger changes than those they went through with the internet 15 years ago.

Birdeo, a new professional take off in sustainable development.

In 2009 Caroline decides to start Birdeo, the first French resourcing and resource Management Company specializing in Sustainable Development.  At ESSEC she completes a program especially designed for Women Entrepreneurs (Entreprendre au Féminin). She then integrates CHEE&DD (Collège des Hautes Etudes du Développement Durable), a college aiming at teaching sustainable development. Caroline, 34 years old, is a mother of two: Violette (2.5 years old) and Gaëtan (3 months).
